Your comments on the decisions made by President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo on the nomination of Comr. Gen. Badrodin Haiti as the National Police chief candidate and the appointment of three provisional commissioners of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), as two of its members have been named suspects by the police:
The nomination of Badrodin and appointing three new provisional KPK commissioners is the least Jokowi could've done to save the nation from disintegration due to the chaotic situation within the country. The President is clearly not for himself but for the people.

I get the feeling it was a good move. I doubt the police will dare to investigate brand new leaders right away, so it should give the KPK some reprieve.
Hopefully people with better knowledge of the matter will now have an impact. Johan Budi is someone who's always struck me as one of the good guys.

How long will it be before the police reveal cases against these three new commissioners? I doubt if we will have to wait very long. And don't forget the cases against the 21 KPK investigators vis-Ã -vis their expired gun permits.

Enough is enough. However, I am wondering what job the President will assign to Comr. Gen. Budi Gunawan because he is clear now according to the would-be National Police chief.

The KPK has lost its clout and is unable to act because the President has failed to show his support. Budi will get away scot-free ' and it shall be the same for the case regarding bank bailouts and the lady on
Jl. Teuku Umar.
All will be free as a bird because the KPK's wings have been clipped with the help of an inept and incompetent President.

Thanks to Jokowi, who has made a good decision in replacing Budi and the KPK commissioners to reduce tensions between the two institutions.

I have to congratulate Jokowi on this, it's more of a safe move. For sure, there is nobody clean among the police generals but at least this guy doesn't seem to be as bad as the previous one.
It sounds pathetic, I know, but I guess this is the best we can hope for folks, given the current complex circumstances surrounding this matter.
As for Budi: good riddance.

The purpose of this new appointment is to hide the real intention. Now Budi is no longer a suspect after the judge cleared his status. Despite him no longer being a candidate to lead the police, now he´s free to do what he wants.

If Jokowi wants to find a clean candidate to become police chief, he should look among Indonesia's younger generation.
