A member of the Jakarta Police's Sabhara rapid response unit, Second Brig. Ricky Alexander, has been banned from driving any four-wheeled vehicle following a traffic accident involving a police bus that killed a teenager.
South Jakarta Police traffic unit chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Sutimin said the ban had been issued directly by Ricky's supervisor and emphasized that the investigation into the case was still ongoing.

'As of today, he is still reluctant to give his testimony. We cannot complete the dossier if we have only one witness.' That is one way to get out of trouble. Stay silent. Then there is the matter of his broken little right finger: poor little thing. That entitles him to two weeks paid sick leave.
As stated, the investigation is still ongoing or incomplete due to his refusal to cooperate. At least the officer has been banned from driving cars, a fair punishment for causing the death of a girl. And the roads should be safer now that he is only on two-wheelers.

We really cannot blame any witnesses for not wanting to testify against the police. Too many people have been threatened and abused to give false confessions and forced to drink solvent.
There is already more than enough evidence to convict this bad cop, but the police want the grief-stricken father to come into a threatening environment to retell the horrible death of his child to the very people who were responsible for this tragic manslaughter!
The police officer didn't even stop to render assistance after barreling into the father and daughter.
One witness is more than enough considering the police arrested a KPK leader based on one statement from a corrupt politician.
In the case of killing a child, one witness is not enough, but to arrest members of the KPK, it's more than enough.
Double standards, or rather no standards, within the police force.
