ndonesia is striving to attract more Eastern European tourists through its participation in the 2015 Utazas-International Tourism Exhibition entitled '€œTravel Around the World'€ held by the Hungarian Tourism Board and set to conclude on Sunday, a top envoy has said.

Indonesian Ambassador to Hungary Wening Esthyprobo said 400 participants comprising various travel agents from 30 countries were present at the exhibition.

'€œIt is expected that the exhibition will draw more than 40,000 visitors,'€ Wening said as quoted by Antara on Sunday. She was speaking on the sidelines of the opening of Indonesian Pavilion, which presented various traditional art performances such as the oleg tambuliling and joged bumbung traditional dances as well as the rindik musical performance from Bali.

Dominated by red and white colors, the Indonesian Pavilion showcased an array images of the country'€™s tourist destinations such as Bali, Borobudur temple in Central Java, Lombok and Komodo islands and local prime commodities such rattan furniture, wooden household furnishings and batik.

Wening said the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Budapest participated in strengthening promotions of the country'€™s tourism potentials in the exhibition. The center showcased various prime commodities such as tea, traditional handicrafts, spices and jewelry.

Visitors of the Indonesian Pavilion sampled traditional cookies, teas and ginger candies.

'€œThe presence of the Indonesian booth will hopefully draw more tourists from Hungary and other Eastern European countries to Indonesia,'€ she said. (ebf)(++++)
