n earthquake registering 5.6 on the Richter scale shook the Bolaang Mongondow area in North Sulawesi on Sunday, with no reports of damage. The quake was also felt in Gorontalo.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the quake, which occurred at 10:32 a.m. local time, struck at a depth of 10 kilometers, 89 km southeast of East Bolaang Mongondow regency.
The agency said the quake, which lasted for about two minutes, had not triggered a tsunami.
