Christine Hakim says it is much better to feel good than to look good.
'I never thought of always staying young and looking good, because what's important for me is my health,' the luminous Christine, one of the nation's most acclaimed actresses, said, as quoted by kompas.com.
'Since I was little, I have done a lot of exercise, such as swimming, horse riding and gymnastics,' the 58-year-old said.
Christine, who recently wowed audiences with a very physical performance in the martial-arts film Pendekar Tongkat Emas (The Golden Cane Warrior), said that discipline was key.
'We have to be more disciplined, especially when we are in our 40s and 50s, as this is usually the period when many illnesses emerge,' she said.
