Singer and television host Ratna Listy has some advice for her son Swara Reiki January as he pursues a musical career.
'I told him, 'It isn't enough to just have a great voice to be a singer. You have to be able to work with other people, you have to respect others and stay humble,'' Ratna, 41, said, as quoted by kompas.com.
The boy contributed the song 'Super Hero' to the compilation album Lagu Anak Nusantara (Songs of Nusantara's Children).
'Reiki follows my path in the entertainment world, but I don't give him any shortcuts,' Ratna said. 'I want him to learn the meaning of the word struggle, by, among other things, participating in singing competitions, so he'll learn how the process is.'
