ournalists from electronic and print media have flocked to the area around Wijayapura port in Cilacap, Central Java, ahead of the imminent executions of 10 death-row inmates.
After all foreign envoys and inmates' relatives and lawyers were summoned for a last visit to the condemned prisoners, a host of journalists arrived at the port to cover the executions, whose date has been set by the Attorney General's Office for Tuesday.
Reporters have been pressing officers and inmates' relatives and lawyers leaving the island for the latest news regarding the inmates' condition.
The planned executions have drawn great attention from national and foreign media, with protests registered by the governments of the inmate's countries, especially Australia, Brazil, the Netherlands and France, as well as the European Union. (rms)(++++)
