Greater Jakarta: Bareskrim searches Lulung's office

he National Police's Criminal Investigations Directorate (Bareskrim) searched the office of councilor Abraham 'Lulung' Lunggana at the City Council building in Central Jakarta on Monday in connection with a case of suspected graft relating to the procurement of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) devices in 2014.
Lulung, who from 2009 to 2014 was coordinator of City Council Commission E on welfare, was not present during the search. The entrepreneur, whose office is on the building's ninth floor, is currently deputy chairman of the City Council and a member of the United Development Party (PPP) faction.
Bareskrim officers also searched Commission E's meeting room on the building's first floor. Police lines were put up at the room's entrance.
