oliticians have called for President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to replace ministers involved in the economic sector due to their 'sluggish' performance.
Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro, State-Owned Enterprises Minister Rini Mariani Soemarno and Industry Minister Saleh Husin are among those most criticized as being "incompetent".
"If the President eventually reshuffles his Cabinet, he must consider removing those responsible for the country's poor achievement in the economic sector," said lawmaker Victor Bungtilu Laiskodat, a NasDem Party senior politician.
The leader of the NasDem faction at the House of Representatives emphasized that a major leadership change within ministries dealing with economic affairs was important to ensure law enforcement.
Several politicians, including those in the opposition Red-and-White Coalition, have concurred.
House Deputy Speaker Fadli Zon, for example, said that "achievement in the economic sector has been bad". (++++)
