The government has substantially increased its target for foreign tourist arrivals to Bandung, West Java, according to Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil. 'The tourism ministry has assigned me to raise the number of foreign tourist arrivals to Bandung from 90,000 visits per year to 500,000 visits,' Ridwan said in Bandung on Monday.

Bandung the city itself has a lot of bars, cafes, restaurants and street food. Some of them have a great view. The surrounding areas are tea plantations, forests, hills and mountains.
Let's not forget the factory outlets and local brand clothing famous in Asia. So, in Bandung you can eat, sleep, hike, bike, off road, shop and drink. And there's no midnight curfew anymore.

I lived there for two years and never figured out why Jakartans go there on weekends. Cihampelas is a poor man's Malioboro and Paris van Java (PVJ) is just a mall.
