Comments on other issues: Pauloh Jokowi says he'€™s no coward

Joko Widodo - JP/Ricky Yudhistira

May 17, p2

During a speech on Saturday at the Cibubur camping grounds in East Jakarta, President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo said he would face the consequences of his controversial policies. '€œI'€™m ready to become unpopular. I'€™m ready to be attacked. Don'€™t ever think that Jokowi is a coward. Keep that in mind,'€ the President said.

Your comments:

You fight for one thing only: your own self-serving ambitions. I feel so sorry for the Indonesian people.  They deserve so much better than you as their '€œleader'€.

Beth Mac

As the great Laurence Sterne said, '€œOnly the brave know how to forgive.'€ A coward cannot forgive; it is not in his nature.

Seamus Gilhooley

Everyone knows what a courageous leader looks and sounds like, and they don'€™t spend a lot of time defending themselves against being called a coward.

Maz Faz

Set the police straight, execute graft suspects and get the currency stabilized, then I'€™ll take you seriously, Mr. President.

President Jokowi, prove it. Fire underperforming ministers from your Cabinet and replace the chief and deputy chief of police with clean replacements, and then we will believe you. And stop talking about gasoline; nobody dislikes you because of the gasoline issue, that'€™s in your own head. We don'€™t like you because of your stand (or rather lack of stand) on corruption.

To carry out presidential duties, it is important that you see to it that you get enough quality sleep. Likewise for further development of the nation, the working class, students and mothers need three cycles of rapid eye movement (REM) and deep sleep per 24 hours. This is to avoid further descending into a national syndrome of chronic fatigue.
