he Jakarta Police raided two shop houses in the Taman Duta Mas complex, West Jakarta, and Teluk Gong, North Jakarta, which functioned as gambling houses, early on Friday.
During the raids, the police nabbed at least 20 alleged gamblers and 10 employees, confiscating around Rp 30 million (US$2,269), said the Jakarta Police's crime directorate head Sr. Comr. Krishna Murti on Friday.
He said the owners of the gambling houses were identified as IA and A.
'The employees claimed that their revenues were around Rp 15 million per day. However, in our experience, arrested suspects usually quote a lower amount than the reality,' he said.
