he Palembang city administration has developed a recreational park in the Punti Kayu eco-tourism forest, which is located in the center of the city, where visitors can enjoy various plant species.
The recreational park, which can also function as an environmental education center, is easily accessible to visitors from all walks of life.
Antoni of the Punti Kayu forest management said that many visitors had flocked to the 50-hectare recreational park for recreation.
Visitors can learn about the various types of flora and fauna found in the park, Antoni said on Thursday as reported by Antara news agency.
Outbound activities such as a flying fox are also available in the park, he said, adding that by paying Rp 20,000 for an entry ticket, visitors can enjoy the urban forest, which is also equipped with a swimming pool and a lake. (hhr)
