he Bogor Immigration Directorate General nabbed eight Moroccan women suspected of being prostitutes during a raid in Puncak, Bogor, West Java, on Monday. The suspects were identified only as CK, CN, FEF, LEK, CC, KC, EHL, and HO.
'They are now being questioned in the Immigration Investigation Directorate,' said acting immigration director general Kabul Priyono on Wednesday as quoted by Antara news agency.
The head of the Immigration Investigation Directorate, Bambang Catur, said that based on the investigation, his office found strong evidence of the presence of an organized prostitution ring involving particular foreigners.
Morocco was included in the countries that were granted 30-day visa-free facilities, which was intended to boost tourism.
Bambang said that although the suspects had not violated the stay limit, they had allegedly misrepresented the purpose of their visit to the country.
