ozens of residents of Ratujaya subdistrict, Cipayung, Depok, West Java, suffered from food poisoning after consuming telur balado (egg in chili sauce) during an early childhood education center (PAUD) graduation ceremony.
Ratujaya subdistrict head Achmad Subandi said 21 children and adults who had consumed the dish developed symptoms.
'At this time, the evidence [egg samples] are already at the Health Agency office,' he said on Thursday as quoted by tempo.co.
Depok Health Agency head Lies Karmawati said the results of food tests were expected to come out in the next three weeks. She said victims ate the eggs on Tuesday and started to suffer from the nausea on Wednesday morning.
Lies went on to say that currently, the victims were hospitalized in four hospitals, including the Hasanah Graha Afiah Hospital in Depok and the Citama Hospital in Bojonggede, also in West Java.
