Greater Jakarta: KCJ seeks to increase multi-trip card users

E

lectric train operator PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) aims to boost the use of multi-trip electronic cards by offering discounts on special occasions.

PT KCJ acting communication manager Adli Hakim said that to date, 70 percent of some 800,000 commuter line passengers used multi-trip e-cards.

'€œHowever, the number decreases to 50 percent on weekends so we need to make more promotions to make them switch from single-trip cards,'€ Adli told reporters at Tanjung Barat Station, South Jakarta, on Monday.

This year, KCJ offered 50 percent discounts to female passengers on Kartini Day on April 21 and discounts to students on National Education Day on May 2.
