Guess what?: Irwansyah aspires to be a cleric

kapanlagi.com

Actor-singer Irwansyah has revealed that he wants to fulfill a childhood dream of becoming a cleric. To reach his goal, Irwansyah is now studying the Koran.

'€œI want to teach other people how to read the Koran. As a matter of fact, I'€™ve been dreaming of becoming a cleric one day '€” yet the reality brought me here, doing entertainment work,'€ Irwansyah, 30, was quoted by tribunnews.com.

The husband of actress-fashion designer Zaskia Sungkar said that he studied the Koran when he was a little.

He, however, felt the need to re-study some basic knowledge about the holy book to refresh his memory.

'€œI re-read some old books from my childhood,'€ said the actor, who gained popularity after featuring in the film Heart in 2006.

Irwansyah seems serious about his plan. About two months ago, Irwansyah opened a Koran learning center for children in Bintaro. The center has about 30 students so far.
