During the month of Ramadhan many hotels in Jakarta

and Bali, which have become two of Indonesia'€™s busiest locations, are offering exciting food and beverage packages as well as different leisure activities.

Aside from hotels in Jakarta
, the hectic capital city, those in Bali also offer numerous Ramadhan packages. Despite being a home to a majority-Hindu population, the Islamic holy month apparently also enlivens the Island of the Gods.

Together with colleagues, families and friends, you can take advantage of these special offers to make the month of Ramadhan more special.

Jakarta's Crowne Plaza Hotel
, for example, is bringing forth an all-new set of dishes drawing from the food traditions of India, the Middle East, China and Indonesia.  The food is served in the hotel's Beranda cafe, where visitors are able to enjoy a buffet menu including beverages for Rp 295,000 (US$22.17, excluding tax) per person.

The city'€™s Indian food aficionados should look no further to enjoy their favorite meals: the cafe'€™s subji masala (mixed vegetables dressed in Indian curry sauce) and grilled fish with tandoori sauce derived from yogurt. For those who love Middle Eastern foods, the appetizer moutabel¸ which is pita bread dipped in tasty tahini sauce combined with olive oil, lime and parsley, is a good appetite enhancer.

Meanwhile, the cafe also serves tried-and-true Indonesian traditional snacks like the thick, sweet and savory dadar gulung (Indonesian pancakes with coconut filling) and surabi solo (Indonesian pancakes dressed in brown sugar and coconut milk sauce) for takjil (light fast-breaking meals). Meanwhile, the hotel'€™s Semanggi lounge also offers many takjil for its visitors at Rp 80,000 (excluding tax) per person. Guests wishing to enjoy their main course in the lounge, however, are also able to order their food from the Beranda cafe and still enjoy the fast-breaking hours in the laid-back lounge.

Meanwhile, Jakarta's Mandarin Oriental

also emphasizes distinctive Indonesian food, bringing to the capital the signatory foods from chef  Ciptoroso's hometown of Brebes, Central Java.

At the hotel'€™s Cinnamon restaurant, enjoy the charming flavors of Brebes with an all-you-can-eat iftar (fast-breaking meal). The buffet'€™s highlight is ketupat sate blengong - '€œtik tok'€ served in a flavorful curry broth with rice cake, sambal and fried shallots. '€œKetupat sate blengong is a very famous fast-breaking dish back in my home,'€ Ciptoroso said. '€œI would like to share its special flavor with everyone who enjoys their iftar in Cinnamon.'€

Another highlight is rajungan sambel pati (deep fried crab in coconut sambal balacan), terancam (roast spring lamb from Tegal in Central Java), terik daging (lemongrass slow braised beef with lime leaves and coconut milk), and the timeless opor ayam dan lontong (coconut water-marinated and deep fried chicken with aromatic spices).

Carrying the theme throughout, takjil and desserts will also be served. Guests can enjoy a variety of classic sweet dishes such as dates, bubur ketan hitam and kolak pisang.

The iftar buffet dinner is priced at Rp 325,000 (tax exclusive) per person. For further information and reservations, contact (021) 29938823 or email mojkt-cinnamon@mohg.com.
