he West Jakarta administration will deploy 150 firefighters across the municipality during the Idul Fitri holiday, which is expected to fall on July 17 and 18, an official has said.
West Jakarta Fire Agency head Pardjoko said the agency's on-duty personnel would be deployed to eight districts, including Cengkareng, Kalideres, and Tambora, deemed prone to fires.
'The three districts will be our top priority,' Pardjoko said on Tuesday as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
He said the agency would work with neighborhood and community unit heads to intensify fire prevention campaigns, such as calling on residents to unplug electricity circuits before leaving their homes for their hometowns.(+++)
