ass organization Laskar Bali has called on Denpasar District Court (PN) judge Achmed Peten Sili to reject a pretrial hearing request in the murder case of Engeline Margriet Megawe, 8, who was found dead in the backyard of her family's house in Denpasar, Bali, on May 10.
'We are calling on the judge to reject the pretrial hearing request in the murder case and instead impose a maximum sentence on Margriet,' Laskar Bali supporter I Wayan Suata said on Monday, as quoted by Antara news agency.
He was referring to Margriet Christina Megawe, 60, Engeline's adoptive mother, whom the police have named a suspect in the murder case.
Wayan said that Margriet's pretrial hearing request must be rejected because the police had obtained enough evidence to name her a suspect.
