Bogor Mayor Bima Arya has appeared in new film Catatan Akhir Kuliah (Last Note at College), as a lecturer.
'To be honest, it still feels surreal because I only have one scene.'
'I accepted the offer because of two things: First, it was set in Bogor and second, the film is about university students and young people,' Bima said while in Tokyo, Japan, to learn about smart cities, as quoted by tribunnews.com on Thursday.
Bima, 42, is a lecturer at his almamater, the School of International Relations at Parahyangan Catholic University (Unpar) in Bandung, West Java. 'It was not difficult to act as a lecturer because I've been one for 17 years. The only difference was that in the scene I was, scolding the students, which I've never done in real life.'
The comedy, directed by Jay Sukmo, is based on a novel with the same title authored by Sam Maulana. The cast includes Muhadkly Acho and Budi Doremi, Ajun Perwira, Abdur Arsyad, Anjani Dina, Rangga Moela and Natasha Chairani.
Filmed at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), the film is about a group of students who investigate corruption at the university. Bima said he was up for more offers. 'If the film promoted Bogor, I would take it without pay.'
