olice have arrested a 25-year-old man, identified only as M, for allegedly raping and killing his 10-year-old cousin in Soppeng regency, South Sulawesi.
Soppeng Police chief Sr. Comr. Didied Prasetyo Aji said M, who was arrested on Wednesday night, had admitted raping the girl, who was reported missing last week.
'After M was arrested, he showed us where he left the body,' Didied said on Thursday, adding that the site was 500 meters behind the girl's house.
The suspect, he went on, had admitted to sexually harassing, raping and strangling the elementary school student.
Didied said that M had also confessed to raping another girl while he was working in Papua some months ago.
'We will coordinate with the Papua Police to investigate the case,' he said.
