AKARTA: Actor Chico Jericho is honing his skill at riding bikes in preparation for the upcoming biopic Surat Cinta Kartini (Kartini's Love Letter).
Directed by Azhar Kinoi, the film centers on RA Kartini, a national heroine who promoted female empowerment throughout her lifetime between the years 1879 until 1904.
Rania Putri Sari has been chosen for the role of Kartini, while Chico will act as mailman.
'I am in the process of tanning my skin by sunbathing a lot,' Chico said at the film's press conference in Jakarta on Thursday as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
'Aside from that, I cycle everyday due to my role as a mailman.'
The 31-year-old actor will start filming in Depok, West Java and Yogyakarta, on Aug. 9.
