he Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry plans to open tenders for the development of 15 oil and gas fields this month through regular as well as direct schemes.
The ministry's oil and gas director general I Gusti Nyoman Wiratmaja Puja said on Wednesday that fields included in the regular auction scheme would be West Asri, offshore Lampung Oti, offshore East Kalimantan, Rupat Labuhan, offshore Riau, offshore North Sumatra, Kasuri II, onshore Papua, North Adang and offshore West Sulawesi, kontan.co.id reported.
Meanwhile, those auctioned under the direct scheme would be North Jabung, onshore Riau and Jambi, South West Benggana, onshore East Kalimantan and West Berau, and offshore West Papua, he added.
Apart from these, the ministry also aims to carry out another auction for conventional and unconventional fields that comprise coal bed methane and shale gas projects in September.
