he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Wednesday searched the office and official residence of North Sumatra governor Gatot Pujo Nugroho as part of its investigation into a bribery case involving judges and clerk from the Medan Administrative State Court (PTUN).

'€œFor our investigation into alleged bribery involving the PTUN Medan'€™s judges and clerk, KPK investors are searching several locations, including the governor'€™s office and hall as well as his official residence,'€ KPK chief of information and communication Priharsa Nugraha said as quoted by Antara in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The governor'€™s office is located on Jl. Diponegoro, Medan, North Sumatra, while his official residence is on Jl. Seroja. The hall is located on Jl. Sudirman.

'€œCurrently, the searches are still underway,'€ said Priharsa. He said the searches were aimed at building the case dossiers of Gatot and his wife, Evi Susanti, both of whom the KPK has named suspects.

Earlier, the KPK said its investigators had searched Evi'€™s home in Tebet, South Jakarta. They also searched the homes of Iwan, a lawyer at the office of another suspect, OC Kaligis, and Yenny Octorina Misnan, secretary and head of administrative affairs unit at the same law office.

'€œFrom the searches, the investigators have confiscated a number of documents suspected to be related to the alleged bribery case,'€ said Priharsa. (ebf)
