Four luxurious ways to travel in Bali

S

o you think you'€™ve done it all when holidaying in Bali? Consider these interesting tours and services to explore the island all over again from a different perspective.

Road trippin'€™ in a cabriolet

Blessed with breathtaking natural wonders scattered all around the region, including along the roads that lead to its numerous picturesque destinations, Bali is a fitting place to take a road trip '€“ preferably in a convertible.

Fortunately, options are readily available for doing just that. One of them is from rental car provider PT Golden Bird Bali, which offers the sophisticated Mini Cooper S Cabriolet as a self-drive for both domestic and foreign tourists.

With prices starting at Rp 1.8 million for the minimum 6-hour rental, which includes a full tank of gas, the service has also been used as a wedding car by couples celebrating their nuptials on the island.

Cruising the coast in style
If spending a one-day or an overnight trip on a luxury yacht sounds like a nice holiday itinerary to you, there are some tour operators in Bali ready and waiting to provide you with just that.

Bali Hai Cruises, for example, offers various sumptuous tours including a one-day sailing trip on the cheerfully named Aristocat catamaran. With Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan as its main destinations, the tour allows tourists to relax completely in the fresh ocean breeze and enjoy some snorkeling, diving, surfing and private beach hopping for a starting price of US$99 per person for adults and $69.30 for children.

Another recommended provider is Pulau Luxury Charters which has plenty of grand yachts in it collection that can accommodate up to 30 people. With a starting rate of $850 per day, it specializes in day cruises to its private moorings in Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan.

Dive in a submarine

For those who are not so keen on snorkeling or diving to enjoy Bali'€™s amazing underwater scenery, you may prefer this unique tour instead.

Said to be the only underwater adventure tour in the country, Odyssey Bali Submarine allows up to 36 patrons to hop inside and travel down to 90 feet below sea-level in Amuk Bay, the six-kilometer wide bay between Padang Bai, to the south, and Candidasa, to the north.

With a starting price of $85 for adults and $60 for children for a 45-minute tour, patrons can comfortably marvel at Padang Bai'€™s underwater creatures without even having to dip a toe.

Take an aerial trip

After you have done exploring the vibrant land and diverse seas of Bali, how about taking an adventurous aerial trip to take in the island from a bird'€™s eye view?

Thanks to helicopter operators such as Air Bali, you can easily enjoy Bali'€™s most secluded areas, inaccessible by road. Prices start at just over Rp 18 million for a 30-minute private tour.

The service offers various aerial trips with highlight destinations including the Uluwatu Temple coastline '€“ covering the west and south coasts of Bali passing over the beaches of Kuta and Legian '€“ the Tanah Lot temple, Bukit Peninsula, Jimbaran bay and the Kintamani, Agung and Besakih temple tour. The company'€™s extended service outside Bali can also take tourists to Lombok to see Mount Rinjani and the Gili Islands.  (jakpost.travel/Edna Tarigan)
