opular South Korean actor Joo Won will meet his fans in Jakarta on Oct. 9 to promote his latest TV series, The Gang Doctor.
The 18-episode series is among the most-viewed this year and is currently broadcast on the ONE TV channel in the Indovision network, with only a one-day delay from the airing time in South Korea.
The meet-and-greet titled 'A Date with Joo Won' is organized by ONE, the main Korean broadcasting channel in Asia. 'The event will also be the actor's first tour in Southeast Asia, straight after finishing shooting of The Gang Doctor,' ONE TV Asia stated in a press release.
The venue of the event will be announced later this week at onetvasia.com/JooWon.
Joo Won, 28, started his career in 2006 as an antagonist on TV drama King of Baking. He has been involved in critically acclaimed TV dramas such as The Good Doctor as a physician with autism, films and musicals such as Altar Boyz, Grease and Spring Awakening.
Nicknamed the Hallyu (Korean wave) King, Joo Won and other actors like Kim Tae Hee, Jo Hyun Jae and Chae Jung Ahn turned The Gang Doctor into a record-breaking series in number of viewers after last year's My Love from the Star.
