Your comments on the Supreme Court's decision to hand a hefty fine of Rp 366 billion (US$25.8 million) to a company found to have caused forest fires:
Indonesian courts are so corrupt that even when a conviction is recorded you wonder if there is not more to it. Either the company is getting off light or it is innocent and someone is after it.
Testing
Hopefully this will set a good precedent, but will the money be collected and actually used to restore the forests?

The Earth's surface curves out of sight at a distance of 5 kilometers. Ten thousand meters is actually 10 kilometers.
And planes only need visibility of 1,000 meters for takeoff (that is what Silk Air officials told me two years ago when my plane couldn't take off for two weeks because of the smoke).
