Empire of drought A farmer cleans unhusked rice from dirt and dried stalks in Wongkaditi village, Gorontalo in northern Sulawesi on Wednesday. Farmers in the area have seen fewer crops come to harvest because of water shortages brought about by a prolonged drought.
