The first victim, identified as Masduki from Sleman regency, Yogyakarta, died on Friday on a plane that took him from Banda Aceh, his transit point from Saudi Arabia, to Yogyakarta.
'The deceased died because of heart disease. He was, however, in a fit condition when leaving Jeddah [for Indonesia],' the head of Religious Affairs Ministry's Sleman office, Luthfi Hamid, was quoted as saying by Antara news agency on Saturday.
Meanwhile, another haj pilgrim from Padang, West Sumatra, died on a plane that brought him back to the city on Saturday evening due to sudden respiratory failure.
