number of politicians from opposition political parties discussed on Wednesday the draft of the 2016 state budget, highlighting the slow disbursement of the government's village program funds.
Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) lawmaker Fahri Hamzah, who was present at the meeting, said that there were several concerns about next year's state budget.
He said that there were still issues with the allocation of Rp 1.4 billion to each village and a state capital injection worth Rp 39.4 trillion for 25 state-owned enterprises.
'We will concentrate on the draft of the state budget because it will be endorsed soon,' Fahri said.
PKS president Sohibul Iman, Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto and Golkar Party secretary-general Idrus Marham also attended the meeting, which was held at the Bakrie Building in Jakarta.
'We want to make [the meeting] a habit because sometimes we
don't pay attention to the state budget,' Fahri told reporters as quoted by kompas.com.
The House of Representatives wants to deliberate on the state budget before going into recess next month.
