Guess what?: Robi Navicula inspired by Limboto Lake

G

runge band Navicula vocalist I Gede Robi Supriyanto has witnessed first-hand the environmental destruction of Limboto Lake in Gorontalo.

'€œI thought this port was a tourist attraction and that the lake was further up there,'€ Robi exclaimed during his recent visit.

To his surprise, Robi had been standing at the edge of the lake at the Hutadaa port. Limboto Lake is completely dry after months of drought.

Robi said he had also heard information suggesting that the lake condition had been further worsened by massive exploitation in the nearby forest which had led to high sedimentation levels in the lake.

The singer mentioned that he would compose a song inspired by his journey to Limboto Lake. '€œThis will be an inspiration for my future work,'€ he said.
