ublicly listed taxi firm Blue Bird has launched the My Blue Bird application in Bandung, West Java, aiming to improve access to its 270-strong taxi fleet in the city.
Company director Sigit P. Djokosoetono said the app was an improvement to the Blue Bird taxi mobile reservation operated since 2011.
The app, Sigit said, enabled customers to immediately reach drivers without going through the call center.
'The customer's cell phone number will not appear on the mobile data terminal in the taxi cab, nor will it be given to the driver, for the sake of customer privacy,' he said.
