T

wenty-four students from South Korea'€™s Silla University are visiting Panggang Island, Thousand Islands'€™ Regency, to participate in a cultural exchange and social activities.

'€œThey will share their knowledge, introducing their culture to schools in Panggang Island for a week,'€ Thousand Island'€™s secretary Ismer Harahap said on Saturday as quoted by beritajakarta.com.

According to Ismer, this is the second time the regency has welcomed a group of university students from South Korea, with the initial visit having taken place in 2011. '€œHopefully the visit will have a positive impact on Thousand Island'€™s tourism,'€ he said.

The helipads are to be developed on soccer fields and will be used for tourism purposes and also by ill residents requiring prompt transportation to Jakarta.
