irport ground handling firm PT Gapura had introduced new equipment to upgrade its services, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Gapura president director Agus Priyanto said the company had revamped some of its ground support equipment to provide better services to its clients as well as to comply with government regulations on the maximum lifespan of such equipment.
'Some new equipment that uses modern technology will be stationed at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport,' Agus said.
The equipment includes a new conveyer belt loader, an incapacitated passenger loading vehicle, a ground power unit, air starting unit, passenger boarding stairs, aircraft towing tractor, lavatory service truck and water service truck.
Gapura is partly owned by national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia and state-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II.
Aside from providing ground handling services, it also provides other services, such as cargo, lounge and aviation security, available in 52 branches and representative offices across the country.
