he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated 10 mobile phones belonging to Andri Tristianto Sutrisna, a Supreme Court official who has been named a suspect in a graft case, in a raid on Monday.
The search operation, conducted by KPK investigators at Andri's office, started at 8.30 a.m. and lasted for two-and-a-half hours.
"KPK investigators seized a document, namely Andri's appointment letter, and electronic devices, comprising 10 mobile phones with three SIM cards, one external hard disk and one notebook hard disk," commission spokeswoman Yuyuk Andriati said on Monday afternoon.
On Saturday, KPK named Andri, chief of the sub-directorate of appeals and special civil case second case reviews at the Supreme Court, a suspect in a graft case related to a delay in the sending of a copy of the court’s ruling on an appeal request for a court verdict in a corruption case surrounding the development of a port located in West Nusa Tenggara for the period 2007-2008.
The antigraft body also named two other people, lawyer Awang Lazuardi Embat and businessman Ichsan Suaidi suspects in the bribery case.
Ichsan, who is also the director of construction firm PT Citra Gading Asritama (CGA), has filed an appeal to the Supreme Court.
Separate raids
On Sunday, KPK investigators searched two houses belonging to Andri, one located in San Lorenzo, Gading Serpong, and the other in Taman Parahyangan, Tangerang, Banten.
Also on Sunday, the anticorruption body searched an apartment unit belonging to Ichsan at Sudirman Park, Jakarta.
"We seized several documents and electronic equipment," Yuyuk said.
She further said senior figures at the Supreme Court had discussed the case with KPK leaders. However, it remains unclear how coordination between the two law enforcement institutions will proceed.
Andri is accused of violating Article 12 or Article 11 of Law No. 31/1999 on corruption eradication. Meanwhile, Ichsan and Awang has been charged with violating Article 5 (1) or Article 13 of Law No. 31/1999 in reference to Article 55 (1) of the Criminal Code. (erk/ebf)
