anjung Priok Port Police have confiscated 1,400 liters of subsidized diesel fuel that was reportedly being smuggled by a man, identified only as DT, who was carrying the fuel on a pick-up truck on Jl. Paliat in North Jakarta.

The police’s special crimes unit chief First. Insp. Angga Syahputra said on Wednesday that his personnel seized the fuel as the owner, 47, did not have permits to transport, store or sell fuel.

Angga said the pick-up truck had been transporting seven drums of subsidized diesel fuel when his personnel stopped it during an operation.

“The driver could not display a permit for transporting, storing or selling fuel,” he said, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
