AKARTA: Aluna Sagita Gutawa’ or popularly known as Gita Gutawa, has taken a break from singing. The 22-year-old recently produced a religious single for duo Rafi and Kafin, members of child band Di Atas Rata-Rata (Above Average). The song is titled “Buka Puasa” (Fast-Breaking).
“I made the song for [those] children. The story is about the moment before breaking the fast,” she told kompas.com recently.
Gita said she created the song with her composer dad, Erwin Gutawa.
Not only has Gita written and produced the song, she is also making the video clip.
She said that she does not plan to sing any religious songs herself this year, explaining that she wants to focus on being a producer.— JP
