uliaman D. Hadad, the chairman of Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK), welcomed a full house of guests during an Idul Fitri gathering at his official residence in Jakarta on Thursday.

Muliaman and his wife Sarah received guests from the domestic banking and financial industry during an open house on the second day of the Idul Fitri celebrations on Thursday.

Among the guests were his OJK colleagues, such as the deputy commissioners for banking supervision Heru Kristiana and Mulya Siregar, commissioner for non-banking supervision Firdaus Djaelani and commissioner for consumer protection and education Kusumaningtuti S. Soetiono.

Bankers such as Bank Mandiri finance and treasury director Pahala N. Mansury, BTPN compliance director Anika Faisal and Bank Mega consumer and credit card director Dodit Wiweko Probojakti were also seen at the event.

Other prominent guests attending the open house were Golkar Party politician Nusron Wahid and businesspeople like Anindya Bakrie, Rosan Roeslani and Sandiaga Uno, among others.

The event served various kinds of food, both Indonesian and Western, such as Soto Betawi, Soto Semarang, bakso (meatballs), chicken satay, barbecued meats, crepes and salad.

"Let's enjoy the bakso first," Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) executive Fauzi Ichsan told his colleague LPS commisioner Destry Damayanti, asking her to accompany him as they enjoyed light moments with other visitors. (est)
