JAKARTA: Actress and singer Cinta Laura is happy
AKARTA: Actress and singer Cinta Laura is happy. With her upcoming role in a Hollywood production, she feels that she has managed to keep her promise to her loyal fans.
“She promised to make her fans and Indonesia proud. She feels relieved that she has kept her promise to her fans and Indonesia,” Cinta’s mother, Herdiana Kiehl, said as quoted by kompas.com.
Cinta will play a role in The Ninth Passenger, directed by Ian Pfaff, with filming scheduled to start on July 14 in Canada.
“Cinta’s father and me are the ones most proud and happiest,” Herdiana said. “Finally, an Indonesian makes it to Hollywood. Not just [appearing] in a scene or two. Cinta has got the lead supporting actress role.”
The leading role went to Jesse Metcalfe of the Desperate Housewives fame. Other actors include Alexia Fast, Sabina Gadecki, Tom Maden, Veronica Dunne, Corey Large and David Hennessey. — JP
