AKARTA: Having passed all her exams, actress Maudy Ayunda is happy to be graduating from Oxford with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, politics and economics.

“My graduation will be in September. I was just so excited when the exams finished, since everything was just so stressful,” Maudy posted in her Instagram account, as reported by kompas.com.

Maudy is famous for her role in Perahu Kertas (Paper Boat), directed by Hanung Bramantyo based on an adaptation of Dewi “Dee” Lestari’s novel of the same title. She also sang for the film’s soundtrack.

Singing is not new to her. In 2014, she collaborated with David Choi by contributing vocals to “By My Side”, which instantly became a hit.

“I’m currently writing a new song, which I’m looking to release at the end of the year. I’m also getting a role in a new movie while also starting a small business,” Maudy said. — JP
