fficials from the Jambi Customs Office destroyed 2,772 bottles of illegal alcoholic drinks in Jambi on Tuesday.
Jambi Customs Office head Proyono Triatmojo said the bottled drinks had been seized because they did not have stickers as proof that excise taxes had been paid. The total value of the bottled beverages was reportedly Rp 330 million (US$24,700).
The office also destroyed 3.5 million illegal cigarettes, 456 kilograms of tobacco and other illegal items such as medical tools, DVDs and sex toys.
Proyono said the goods had been seized during a three-month operation conducted in 11 regencies and cities in the province.
