he government has reaped Rp 15 trillion (US$1.1 billion) from the latest government debt paper auction, held last Tuesday, according to a press release issued on Monday.
The government saw Rp 36.9 trillion worth of incoming bids for five series of bonds, with maturities ranging from 2017 to 2036.
However, only three series were awarded by the government, namely SPN03170404 (new issuance), SPN12180104 (new issuance) and FR0059 (reopening), with maturity in 2017, 2018 and 2027, respectively.
Their awarded weighted yields ranged from 5.93 percent to 7.8 percent per annum.
The government plans to issue more than Rp 358 trillion worth of sovereign debt papers (SBN) in the period of January to July this year. That amount is equal to 60 percent of the government's total annual gross issuance target, which has been set at Rp 597.03 trillion in this year’s state budget. (bbn)
