he Transportation Ministry has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with state lender Bank Mandiri to provide easier non-tax state revenue (PNBP) payments through its bank channels.
“We hope that state revenues can be retrieved through cashless transactions,” Bank Mandiri president director Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said in his speech.
He said the bank also aimed to improve public services for people who have to pay for transportation-related services.

Bank Mandiri has also provided cashless payment services for Transjakarta buses, toll road gate payments and for commuter line users.
The users can pay through internet banking, ATMs, branch offices and electronic data capture (EDC).
Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, meanwhile, said the cooperation with Bank Mandiri would also increase efficiency. (bbn)
