Actor Ferry Salim says he faced a dilemma after learning that his eldest son and daughter planned to leave home to study in Australia.

“Actually I want them to study abroad, but I will also miss them a lot, so it’s kind of a dilemma for me,” he said as quoted by kompas.com on Wednesday.

Ferry said he felt sad if one of his three children could not attend a family gathering, never mind them living far from the country.

“Even when they go to school, I already feel lonely. I have breakfast alone with my wife. I really like to hang out together with my children,” he said.

He said his wife, Merry Prakasa, had a bigger heart when it came to letting go of their children to study abroad. Ferry said he, too, would learn to accept the children’s decision.
