he West Jakarta Police will summon for a second time executives of a company that installed billboards that collapsed after they skipped questioning without explanation.
“We will summon them again soon,” West Jakarta Police criminal investigation head Sr.Comr. Andi Adnan said on Tuesday as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
Two weeks ago, two billboards on Jl. S. Parman in Slipi collapsed during heavy rain and strong wind, injuring five people. No fatalities were reported.
The police have questioned several witnesses to find out whether the incident was caused by negligence.
Separately, West Jakarta Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) head Tamo Sijabat said there were 32 billboards on three main streets of the municipality: Jl. Daan Mogot, Jl. Hayam Wuruk and Jl. Gajah Mada.
The agency is currently coordinating with the tax office to find out whether the billboards are legal and the owners have paid tax on them. The agency has said it would take two weeks to verify the matter, Tamo added. (wnd)
