he government is currently revising regulations on the national spatial plan in order to include several megaprojects that have not yet been included on the list.
Several priority projects such as the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway project, the Patimban deep seaport in West Java and several toll roads have yet to be included, said Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Sofyan Djalil on Tuesday.
The revision is expected to help expedite land acquisition, which has posed problems for infrastructure development throughout the years, the minister said.

"If there are any regional or provincial spatial plans that have not accommodated [these projects], then they will be overruled," he said at the State Palace.
There are 225 projects nationwide on the list, including 47 highway projects, five national non-toll roads, 12 railway projects, seven urban rail projects, 11 airport revitalization projects, four new airport construction projects, 13 new ports and phase three of the “1 million homes” program.
The legal basis for the projects are outlined in Presidential Decree (Perpres) No.3/2016 and Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No.1/2016. These give public officials the authority to revise or replace rules that hamper the development of these projects. (bbn)
