on-active Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama has suggested the creation of "pink troops" to take care of child-friendly integrated public spaces (RPTRA) across the capital.

Ahok gave his advice on Tuesday while receiving a visit from acting governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat, at the National Police's Mobile Brigade detention center in Kelapa Dua, Depok. Ahok has been in detention for a week after being sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for blasphemy on May 9.

"Because RPTRA is child and mother related, Pak Ahok suggests the troops wear pink t-shirts," Djarot said at City Hall on Wednesday morning.

The city administration under Ahok and Djarot’s leadership created several colorful troops, including the “orange troops” responsible for cleaning up the capital and the “red troops” who renovate houses of the urban poor under the Public Facility Maintenance Agency (PPSU).

The capital has some 188 RPTRAs with that number set to grow as the city administration plans to build 100 more.
