he police have released a sketch of one of two robbers involved in an armed robbery in Tangerang on Monday that claimed the life of 22-year-old student Italia Chandra Kirana Putri.
“[The perpetrator] is on our most wanted list at Tangerang Police precinct,” Tangerang Police chief Sr. Comr. Harry Kurniawan said on Thursday as quoted by kompas.com. “We ask people to participate and directly report to us if they see this man,” he said while showing the sketch to reporters.
The sketch was made based on CCTV footage taken near the crime scene.
Italia, a dentistry student at Trisakti University in West Jakarta, was shot in the chest after attacking one of two robbers attempting to steal her motorcycle at her house.
The two robbers fled on their motorcycle, leaving behind Italia’s bleeding body.
She was taken to Sari Asih Hospital in Tangerang but was pronounced dead on arrival. (hol)
