Cycling with several city officials and Jakarta residents, Djarot said that the exercise was aimed at promoting the city’s tourist
destinations.
“Let’s enjoy the [destinations] together. We maintain and preserve them as Jakarta belongs to everyone,” he said as reported by kompas.com.
He rode his bicycle on a 12-kilometer route starting from his office at City Hall to the Gambir area, the Istiqlal Mosque, Pasar Baru, Gunung Sahari and Mangga Dua Market. He ended his trip at one of Jakarta’s popular tourist destinations, Kota Tua.
